Lawrence Township exploring fire department merger
A Lawrence Township trustee is proposing to merge the township’s fire department with the Indianapolis Fire Department, in an attempt to further reduce its operating deficit.

Hoosier Park owner defaults on loan payment

Indianapolis-based Centaur LLC, owner of Anderson’s Hoosier Park horse track and casino, acknowledged Thursday morning that it has failed to make a required loan payment, putting it in default with its lenders.
